My Cross Walk

Privacy Policy

My Cross Walk is provided by AI Accelerator LLC of Colorado (“Company,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers the My Cross Walk web application at mycrosswalk.app (the “App”). It describes what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Your account

You sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address and a link to your profile photo. Firebase Authentication, Google’s sign-in service, keeps these as your sign-in account, under an account identifier it assigns. Our database stores your name, email address and that identifier, the date you were approved, and when you first and last signed in. Your profile photo is shown in the App directly from Google; our database does not store it. If you sign in before being approved, we record a request for access (your name, email address and when you asked) for an Administrator to review.

Your content

When you delete a prayer, category, Bible reading or My Reading entry, what you wrote is erased; we keep only a marker that it was deleted, so your other devices remove it too. When you delete a Memorize text, it is erased and we keep only its identifier and the time of deletion, for the same reason.

Your voice and the speech features

When you record a recitation, the recording is sent through our server to Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, together with the passage you are reciting (to help it recognise the words), and Google returns the words it heard; the App then compares them with the passage on your device to score it. When you use Listen, the passage is sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, which returns audio to play. We handle recordings and audio only in memory while the request is being processed. We do not save them, and we do not save the transcribed words.

To apply the daily speech allowance, we record how much you use these features each day: the seconds of recitation and the number of characters read aloud, never what was said or read. These daily totals are kept with your account and deleted with it.

Your agreement to our terms

When you accept the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, we record your account identifier, name, email address, the version you accepted, the exact statement you confirmed, links to and fingerprints (SHA-256 hashes) of the documents shown to you, and the time. We keep this record as proof of what you agreed to and when (see Section 7).

Technical information

Like any website, our servers receive your IP address, browser type and the requests your browser makes. Google Cloud keeps these in our server logs for 30 days, which we use only to keep the App working and secure. The App and these pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.

On your device

The App keeps a copy of your content in your browser’s storage so it works without a connection and opens quickly, along with preferences such as light or dark mode and your chosen microphone. This copy is removed if you delete your account, if your account is removed, or when a different account signs in on that browser.

2. Religious Beliefs

Your prayers, Bible readings, the books you log and the texts you memorize may reveal your religious beliefs, which the law in Colorado, the European Union and elsewhere treats as sensitive information. We process this information only with your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box when you accept these terms, and only to provide the App to you. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account (Section 8), which erases this information.

3. How We Use Information

We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising or profiling, or use your content to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Who Can See Your Information

5. Service Providers

The App runs on Google Cloud. Google processes information for us under the Google Cloud terms that govern our account:

Cloudflare, Inc. provides the domain name system (DNS) for mycrosswalk.app: it answers the lookup that turns the name into Google’s address. Your requests and information go directly to Google and do not pass through Cloudflare. We use no other service providers and share information with no one else.

6. Where Your Information Is Stored and How It Is Protected

Your information is stored in the United States (Google Cloud’s us-central1 region). It is encrypted in transit between your device and our server, and Google encrypts it when stored. The browser never connects to the database directly: every request goes through our server, which checks that you are signed in, approved, and asking only for your own information. Access to the Google Cloud project is limited to the people who operate the App. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. How Long We Keep Information

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live (for example, Colorado or the European Union), you may have further rights, such as to confirm what we hold about you, to receive it in a portable format, or to appeal a decision about your request. For anything you cannot do in the App, write to support@ai-accelerator.net. We will respond within 30 days. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer; if you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general or local data protection authority.

9. Children

The App is only for people aged 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account and its information.

10. Changes to This Policy

When we change this policy, the App will show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue. The version and effective date at the top of this page show which version is current.
